Shane, Joe, Mark and I found Dark Hollow Falls on 5/13/17. Its source is a tributary of Buck Creek in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
I regret that I will not reveal its location because I do not know if it resides on public or private land.
Flooding made Buck Creek swell, which provided quick, but challenging travel. We kayaked about 17 miles, putting in at Rainey Road and taking out at Dykes Bridge.
The waterfall cascaded down a series of limestone steps and platforms. It was easy to climb, if you do not mind getting wet.
We found many other wonders that day. We all agreed that this was the best kayak trip ever.
